April 16 – April 18: Visit the Shrooms Art Installation by Amigo and Amiga at ImagineOn. “In many cultures mushrooms are considered a symbol of luck, to find a mushroom means that good luck is at hand. Shrooms is an immersive artwork of 10 giant inflatable mushroom shapes that encourages our social nature while contrasting with the urban environment. The work was inspired when Simone noticed mushrooms had popped up in the streets of the industrial area where she lives in Sydney Australia, their ability to emerge in unexpected environments for only a couple of days fascinated her. Like a little gift of nature in the grey urban environment.”
